Friday Field Trips! Generation Genius Authors – 2019

This page contains information on each session available, with author bios and book blurbs. To RSVP, click on the session you would like to attend and follow the link to our RSVP form. Please note the session times, and factor in when your school day starts, travel time to downtown Miami, and the authors you would like to see. As always, RSVPs are on a first-come, first-served basis. Once you have submitted your RSVP online, you must receive a confirmation email directly from Ismery Pavon (ipavon@mdc.edu) in order to ensure your seats at each author session.

Please note that some sessions have already been filled, and are noted in the online RSVP form dropdown menuIf you choose one of these filled author sessions, you will be placed on a waitlist and contacted to choose an alternative author session.

RSVPs are limited to 30 students per teacher per session. RSVP seats are for students only. In order to allow as many students as possible to experience the author presentations, we ask that, if seats are all reserved in an author session, the chaperones and parents stand unless health does not permit. Please keep this in mind when requesting chaperones.

Children’s Alley and the Street Fair are also open on that Friday, so if you prefer not to apply for an author session, there are many free events for children of all ages throughout the Book Fair grounds. You do not need to RSVP if you are only planning to take your students to Children’s Alley and the Street Fair portion that Friday.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact:
