Pablo Neruda is considered one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century in any language. Now his work can be enjoyed afresh with two remarkable new translations for the twenty-first century. Poet, translator, and essayist Forrest Gander presents the translated volume, Then Come Back: The Lost Neruda Poems originally composed on napkins, playbills, receipts, and more. Honorary Consul of Chile Mariela Griffor captures Neruda’s most audacious and ambitious epic poem, Canto General, which chronicles an episodic journey through the history of the Americas. Moderated by Catherine Bowman (Can I Finish, Please?).
