A Thermodynamic Story with Thomas Pierce
Stick a cold spoon in a hot bowl of soup, and the spoon heats up.  Any successful story—even a quiet, plotless one—is, in some essential way, a hot bowl of soup.  The atoms and molecules contained within it vibrate and bounce and careen.  They exist in a state of high entropy.  Enter the reader, our cold spoon.  In this craft talk, we’ll consider fiction as a transfer of energy.
