PABLO MEDINA was born in Havana and raised in New York City. He is the author of many published works, including poetry, fiction, and works in translation, most recently Sea of Broken Mirrors: Poems (Hanging Loose Press). Medina’s prose and poetry have been translated into various languages, including Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Arabic. His work has appeared in many journals, among them The New Yorker, TriQuarterly, Poetry Magazine, Ploughshares, Zyzzyva, and more. He has received several awards and honors for his writing, including fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Cintas Foundation, the Guggenheim Foundation, and others. Medina is currently on faculty at the Warren Wilson College MFA Program for Writers and divides his time between Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Newfane, Vermont.
