Wilson began his career at the Miami Herald, where he worked for 12 years as a writer and editor. He joined the St. Petersburg Times (now Tampa Bay Times) in 1994, serving for 18 years as a writer, editor and, finally, managing editor. His staff won two Pulitzer Prizes during his tenure. In 2013, he moved to ESPN in New York to become the founding managing editor of Nate Silver’s data journalism website, FiveThirtyEight. He has written two books, Right on the Edge of Crazy, and The Difference Between God and Larry Ellison.
