Marilyn Stasio is an author, writer, and literary critic. Earlier this year she retired as the crime columnist for The New York Times Book Review, after serving in that role for 33 years and writing hundreds of reviews. She also writes for Variety, The New York Post, New York magazine, and others. As an author she has written Showtune: A Memoir (with Jerry Herman), Sweet Revenge: 10 Plays of Bloody Murder (with Marvin Kaye), and Broadway’s Beautiful Losers: The Strange History of Five Neglected Plays.
