LEIGH HABER is an independent writer and reviewer for publications such as The New York Times Book Review and a strategic consultant for Tertulia, Girls Write Now, Equality Now, Zibby Owens Media, and Publishers Marketplace. From 2012 to late 2022, Haber was the director of Oprah’s Book Club and vice president of books/books editor for O, The Oprah Magazine and then Oprah Daily, for which she wrote and edited reviews, interviews, and other articles, and curated all books coverage. Haber worked directly with Winfrey to select books for the club and coordinated those campaigns with publishers and other partners. She also regularly ghostwrote many of Winfrey’s articles, interview scripts, and, occasionally, her speeches. Previously, Haber worked as a publicist for a division of Random House before transitioning to an editorial position at publishing houses such as Scribner and Hyperion.
