Kimbriah Alfrenar

Sara McCranie

Born in 2003, in Hollywood, Florida, Kimbriah Alfrenar is very curious, a trait that gave birth to a feverish reading habit. She reads three to five books a week, often checking her parents’ schedules (or chasing them down!) to find out about their availability to take her to the library. Kimbriah enjoys Bible stories, but also adventure books and folktales. Her interest in writing was born from her love of reading, particularly since her school assignments and essays were often used as models in class, where she paid close attention to both her teachers’ praise and their constructive criticism. In fifth grade, she started a book series geared toward young children. In 2016, she published the first Grandma Dotty book and she’s currently finishing the second book in the series. Kimbriah is a current member of the Florida Young Writers Association, and she is looking forward to going to high school and continuing to explore her adventure.

Kimbriah Alfrenar fèt an 2003 nan Hollywood, Florida. Se yon timoun ki renmen konnen, sa ki fè li renmen li anpil. Li li twa a senk liv pa semèn, e li toujou ap gade orè paran li (oubyen mache dèyè yo) pou konnen kiyès k ap kapab mennen l nan yon bibliyotèk. Kimbriah renmen li istwa labib, epitou liv kont ak istwa lavanti. An senkyèm ane, li deside ekri yon koleksyon liv pou jèn timoun. An 2016, li pibliye premye liv nan koleksyon Grandma Dotty li a, e kounyeya l ap travay pou l fini yon dezyèm liv. Kimbriah se manm Florida Young Writers Association epi li pa ka tann pou l antre nan dezyèm sik segondè pou li kontinye eksplore lavi.
