JUDITE CANHA FERNANDES is a Portuguese poet, writer, and dramatist whose work has earned several awards, including the Agustina Bessa-Luís Award in 2018 and the Best Narrative Fiction Book award from the Portuguese Society of Authors in 2020. She has also received literary creation grants from the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, the most recent of which was awarded for writing an essay about the Carnation Revolution, titled Three Meridians of April, Memories from the Atlantic. She is currently immersed in the creative process and will be discussing it in the session “A Night in Portugal”.
