Joyce Frisby Baynes graduated from Swarthmore College with a B.A. in Mathematics. She earned her M.A.T. in Mathematics from Harvard University, a M.Ed. in Administration and Ed.D. in Mathematics Education from Columbia University. After eighteen years teaching mathematics, she progressed to top administrative posts of three school districts in New Jersey, including serving as superintendent of schools. In her retirement, she co-founded the nonprofit Future Forward for Haiti, Inc., has served on the Board of Trustees of the Community Scholarship Fund of Teaneck and is involved in other educational and religious affairs.
