Joe Johnson caught the radio bug at the age of 10 when he worked with his dad one summer filling vending machines. One of their weekly stops was top 40 station, WFUN in South Miami. Johnson was mesmerized watching the deejay through the glass and the mold was cast from that day forward. In 1978, Johnson joined Love 94 FM as a co-host of the Morning Show. He moved to Majic 102.7 in 1986 where he spent 28.5 years as Creative Services Director, evening host, morning show host, then middays and Public Affairs host. He is the creator and host of the award-winning Beatle Brunch radio show, which has aired locally since 1992 and is syndicated nationally. Johnson has won 6 A.I.R. (Achievement in Radio) awards for his on-air and production work, an Addy Award® for copywriting and in 2015 he was named “Best FM Personality” by The Broward – Palm Beach New Times Magazine. Joe’s interviewed Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Peter Frampton, Yoko Ono, Brian Wilson, Donny Osmond, Mike Douglas and Regis Philbin, among others.
