Broadcast journalist CONNIE CHUNG shattered glass ceilings and paved the way for many women and Asians alike with stints at NBC, CBS, and ABC. Her storied and well-respected career began in 1969 at the age of 23, when the once-shy daughter of Chinese parents took her first job at a local TV station in her hometown of Washington, D.C. An inspiration to many, an entire generation of Asian women have been named after Chung. Married to Maury Povich since 1984, Chung and her husband split their time between Florida, Montana, and New York.
