AMY DRISCOLL is the opinion editor for the Miami Herald. She won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing in 2023 for her series “Broken Promises” and was a Pulitzer Prize judge in 2024. She was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University in 2003. She co-produced the award-winning podcast Smoked, was named Editor of the Year in 2021 by the Society of Professional Journalists Florida chapter, and won the Darrell Sifford Memorial Prize in 2007. She has written articles for Nieman Reports on the presidential election (2020) and the Narrative Nieman Digest on immigration (2006). Driscoll has reported on a wide variety of topics including politics, health policy, hurricanes, and the legal system.
