Frantz “Kiki” Wainwright is a poet, playwright, singer, dancer, and comedian who moved to Miami in 1982. After attending Florida International University, he worked for 20 years as a social worker and was a Juvenile Probation Officer for the State of Florida. Kiki is the founder of Haitian folk and root music band Ayabonmbe. He is presently the Vice President of Sosyete Koukouy, a group dedicated to preserving Haitian culture in the United States. His latest book is titled Vilokan: Teyat Total an 3 Tablo (Édition Delince, 2016).
