TWO LEGENDARY CARTOONISTS: CHAST & ECKSTEIN

BOB ECKSTEIN is an illustrator and writer for The New Yorker, The New York Times, and other publications. He is also the author of The New York Times bestselling Footnotes From the World's Greatest Bookstores. His work has been exhibited in the Cartoon Art Museum of San Francisco, the Smithsonian Institution, The Cartoon Museum of London, and the Sordoni Art Gallery at Wilkes University. He is the editor of the series The Ultimate Cartoon Book by the World's Greatest Cartoonists, a contributing editor at Writer's Digest, and he teaches at New York University. His latest collection is The Complete Book of Cat Names (That Your Cat Won't Answer to, Anyway) (Countryman Press).

CHARLES KOCHMAN is the editorial director of Abrams ComicArts and editor of the No. 1 bestselling series Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. For more than 35 years, Kochman has edited several hundred books for all age groups, including award-winning picture books, middle-grade novels, retrospectives, monographs, graphic novels, and art book collections published by Abrams, DC Comics, Mad magazine, Bantam Books, and Putnam. A member of the National Cartoonists Society, the Society of Illustrators, and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, Kochman is on the nominating committees for the Bill Finger and Harvey Hall of Fame awards. He is a recipient of the Inkpot Award, presented by Comic-Con International for achievement in comics.

ROZ CHAST's cartoons began appearing in The New Yorker in 1978, where she has since published more than 1,000. She is the author of the graphic memoirs Going Into Town, winner of the New York City Book Award, and the No. 1 New York Times bestseller Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant?, a National Book Critics Circle Award and Kirkus Prize winner, and a finalist for the National Book Award; What I Hate: From A to Z; and the collections The Party, After You Left: Collected Cartoons 1995-2003 and Theories of Everything: Selected, Collected, and Health- Inspected Cartoons, among others. Her latest book is I Must Be Dreaming (Bloomsbury Publishing).
