An experienced literary agent will share her insights on how successful writers support their publications, and create lasting careers and relationships with the publishing industry. Topics include: writing a successful query letter, navigating a book contract, building relationships with your agent, editor and publicist, the publishing process from contract to on-sale-date, and much more. 

Eleanor Jackson began her publishing career in 2002 at Witherspoon Associates, which became InkWell Management, and was a literary agent at InkWell Management and Markson Thoma Literary Agency before becoming an agent at Dunow, Carlson & Lerner. Her list includes bestselling and award-winning authors of fiction and nonfiction in a wide range of categories, including David Wroblewski (The Story of Edgar Sawtelle,) Susan Straight (Mecca,) Paul R. Ehrlich (Life,) Susie Steiner, (Missing, Presumed) Hallie Rubenhold, (The Five) and Tanaz Bhathena (Rising Like a Storm). She has a B.A. in English and Art History from Colby College and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two sons.
