Textile artist DIANA EUSEBIO’s Field of Dreams at the Museum of Contemporary Art – her first solo exhibition – explores the significance of cultural preservation, ancestral memory, and the enduring connection between people and place. Drawing from her Indigenous Peruvian-Quechua and Afro-Dominican roots, Eusebio bridges personal memory with ancestral traditions, using natural dyes and textiles to create works grounded in both the flora and fauna of Miami and the landscapes of her family’s homelands. Formally trained in fiber and textile design, her practice is deeply rooted in familial knowledge and shaped by her connection to Miami’s natural environment. The exhibition resonates with MOCA’s mission to celebrate the creativity rooted in its local landscape while amplifying narratives beyond its borders, offering audiences a layered and expansive view into various art practices and cultural heritages.\

This year, to kick off the 2025 NEA Big Read Miami, MOCA Book Club members will join Miami Book Fair in reading Sandra Cisneros’ The House on Mango Street as a complement to the inspirations behind Field of Dreams. Starting November 5, members can pick up their free copy of the book while supplies last; the club will discuss The House on Mango Street/La casa en Mango Street at its January 25, 2026, meeting.
