March 1:
Instructor: Leslye Penelope
Theme: Writing Romantasy: Blending Love and Magic
The mixing of fantasy and romance is a great way to captivate readers. Learn how to weave these elements together to create unforgettable stories of love and magic. This workshop will help you understand the conventions of both genres and how to begin crafting fantasy settings, multi-dimensional characters, and popular tropes into an engaging plot.
Leslye Penelope has been writing since she could hold a pen and loves getting lost in the worlds in her head. She is an award-winning author of fantasy and paranormal romance. Equally left and right-brained, she studied filmmaking and computer science at Howard University and sometimes dreams in HTML. She hosts the My Imaginary Friends podcast and lives in Maryland with her husband and furry dependents. Her latest novel is Daughter of the Merciful Deep.
