Join poet and editor Pádraig Ó Tuama for a reading and conversation centered around 44 Poems on Being with Each Other: A Poetry Unbound Collection, an anthology that explores the beauty, complexity, and necessity of human connection. Ó Tuama, also the author of Kitchen Hymns – a tender collection that meditates on ritual, intimacy, and the sacred within the ordinary – will be joined by two acclaimed contributors: Denise Duhamel, whose new book Pink Lady: Poems is a vibrant, witty chronicle of the separation of a mother and daughter during COVID-19, documenting the power of imagination, the aging body, and the limits of caregiving; and Patricia Smith, whose latest collection, The Intentions of Thunder: New and Selected Poems, traverses the redeeming landscape of pain, confronts the frightening revelations of history, and discloses the joyous possibilities of the future.
