Lip Service presents: Storypalooza! The “ Love Hurts” Edition

Miami’s best literary fest joins forces with Miami’s best LGBTQI event for a fun storytelling get-together like no other!   

Love hurts, right? Here’s your chance to tell the world your personal story of that bad breakup, horrible hookup, the one that got away, or the one you wish got away—and how it changed you. Miami Book Fair brings Lip Service’s open mic/live feedback event, Storypalooza!, to the Gay8 Festival on Sunday, February 14. Get up and share your lovelorn story (500 words or less) with the audience, then get feedback on your story from Lip Service’s all star lineup of writers, performers, teachers, and editors. Don’t worry—they’ll be gentle.

Panelists: Humorist and star of Snap Judgement, James Judd; teacher, writer, and co-producer of Lip Service True Stories Out Loud, Esther Martinez; journalist and host of the radio show Meet Them Mondays, Christian Portilla; and writer/teacher Parker Phillips. Hosted by teacher, writer, editor and co-producer of Lip Service, Nicholas Garnett.
