Carol Todaro is an artist and writer who combines both activities by making artists' books.The Bibliothèque Nationale de France, the National Museum for Women in the Arts, the Library of Congress and the Jaffe Collection at Florida Atlantic University, among other public institutions, have collected her work. Her poetry chapbook Moonviewing (Floating Wolf Quarterly # 7) was released in 2011. She teaches at New World School of the Arts in Miami.

Delphine Nephtalie Dauphin, also known as Joy, is a Kid-trepreneur. She is the owner and baker of Joy's Yummy Cupcakes by Delphine, a company that she founded at the age of 7. She has participated at the Miami Book Fair and The Miami Gardens Wine & Fond Experience. She has a passion for arts and entrepreneurship. Delphine has been leading an Annual All Girls PJ Party during Christmas season to connect her friends. She is a Princess & Pearls Ambassador, philanthropist, pianist and ballet student. When she's not baking, doing her schoolwork, surfing the net for research or speaking at events, she is most likely reading a good book or watching Jessie on Netflix. Delphine resides with her mother in the City of Miramar, Florida.

Born in Miami, 7-years-old Edwin Bonilla Jr. (better known as EJ) is student at St. James Catholic School, where his favorite subject is Science. At the age of four, inspired by his Haitian and Cuban roots and his mother’s strong passion for history, EJ became engaged in learning about his community and about the government. As a fifth birthday gift, EJ asked to tour the White House. Later, the young author also visited Selma, Alabama, to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday. When EJ realized that it was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who led the march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge, he became invested in learning more about Black history. With the help of his mother, EJ published his first book in 2015, EJ’s Exciting Road Trip, about a little boy’s dream to visit the White House. Today, EJ is an award-winning author who received the Moonbeam Children’s Book Award for Best Book by Young Author. He’s currently working on his third book and hopes to write stories about creating his own robots.

Born in 2003, in Hollywood, Florida, Kimbriah Alfrenar is very curious, a trait that gave birth to a feverish reading habit. She reads three to five books a week, often checking her parents’ schedules (or chasing them down!) to find out about their availability to take her to the library. Kimbriah enjoys Bible stories, but also adventure books and folktales. Her interest in writing was born from her love of reading, particularly since her school assignments and essays were often used as models in class, where she paid close attention to both her teachers’ praise and their constructive criticism. In fifth grade, she started a book series geared toward young children. In 2016, she published the first Grandma Dotty book and she’s currently finishing the second book in the series. Kimbriah is a current member of the Florida Young Writers Association, and she is looking forward to going to high school and continuing to explore her adventure.

Phanesia Pharel is a Miami-based writer, director and actor. She began performing at the age of three in various dance companies. At six, she performed in her first musical, “Hairspray,” whose creators she later met at the age of thirteen at the International Thespian Festival. As a freshman in high school, she fell in love with a play by Tracy Letts and her adventures in directing began with a turbulent scene from “August Osage County;” she received perfect score during a competition. Later, she directed Marsha Norman’s “Night Mother” and an original production titled “The Cookie Heist.” She recently began rehearsals for the play “Funnyhouse of a Negro” by Adrienne Kennedy. Her playwriting career began when she was selected as a sophomore to be a City Theatre Scholar at the City Wrights festival on the topic of gender parity. Marsha Norman was the keynote speaker. Phanesia wrote a monologue at the festival, and the piece was later published in the City Theatre anthology. Her first play “Penelope” was selected as one of four in the nation to be workshopped at the International Thespian Festival. This win in the “Playworks” competition resulted in her work being published in Dramatics Magazine. “Penelope” will be published in a Samuel French collection. One of her plays, “Shovel Me Away,” was produced at Micro Theater Miami and selected among the “Best Of The Best of 2016.” Phanesia has also published poetry in various anthologies. She will be attending Barnard College of Columbia University this coming fall.
