As a Woman: What I Learned about Power, Sex, and the Patriarchy After I Transitioned (Atria Books) is a memoir of transgender pastor Paula Stone Williams’ transition and the lessons she learned while trying to reconcile her faith, her identity, and her desire to be a leader. Blending investigative reporting, memoir, and scholarship, author Melissa FebosGirlhood  examines the narratives women are told about what it means to be female and what it takes to free oneself from them.

This event requires a ticket for admission.
