ALEJANDRA CAMPOVERDI is an author, nationally recognized women’s health advocate, and former White House aide to President Barack Obama. She produced and appeared in the groundbreaking PBS documentary Inheritance, named one of the “best documentaries of 2020” by Elle. She also founded the Latinos & BRCA awareness initiative in partnership with Penn Medicine’s Basser Center for BRCA, which is the first awareness campaign on the BRCA gene mutation that targets Latinos and offers Spanish-language educational materials. She holds a master's degree in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and graduated cum laude from the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California. Campoverdi currently serves on the boards of Harvard's Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy; the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino; and the California Community Foundation. First Gen: A Memoir, is her debut book.

AVA CHIN is the author of A Chinese American Family's Story of Exclusion and Homecoming (Penguin Press). A previous book, Eating Wildly, won the Les Dames d'Escoffier International M.F.K. Fisher Book Prize. Chin's writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, The Village Voice, and Saveur. A professor of creative nonfiction at the City University of New York, Chin has received grants and fellowships from the New York Public Library's Cullman Center, the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, New York Foundation for the Arts, New York Institute for the Humanities, and the Asian American Writers' Workshop.

NICOLE CHUNG is the author of A Living Remedy: A Memoir (Ecco). Her previous book, All You Can Ever Know: A Memoir, was a national bestseller, finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, semifinalist for the PEN Open Book Award, and an Indies Choice Honor Book. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Time, GQ, Slate, and The Guardian.

PRACHI GUPTA is a former senior reporter at Jezebel and co-host of Jezebel's former politics podcast Big Time Dicks. She won a Writers Guild Award for her investigative essay Stories About My Brother. Her work was featured in The Best American Magazine Writing 2021 and has appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post Magazine, Marie Claire, Salon, Elle, and elsewhere. They Called Us Exceptional: And Other Lies That Raised Us (Crown) is her debut memoir.
