What do women want? How do we communicate our desires? And who, ultimately, is listening? In this free, freewheeling workshop, you’ll get several writing prompts to explore these questions for yourself. We’ll draw on the themes of the essay collection Wanting: Women Writing About Desire, Madeline Miller’s witchy retelling of Circe, and a poem or two to boot. Writers of all genres are welcome!

MARGOT KAHN is a biographer, poet, and editor. Her most recent co-edited collection is the national bestseller Wanting: Women Writing About Desire.

Presented as part of the 2024 NEA Big Read Miami and Women’s History Month.
