El programa de Autores Iberoamericanos pone broche de oro a su edición 2019 con la presentación del gran escritor español Arturo Pérez Reverte, narrador y periodista de prensa, radio y televisión. Actualmente es escritor a tiempo completo. Su larga bibliografía incluye títulos como El húsar (1986), El maestro de esgrima (1998), Patente de corso (1998), La reina del Sur (2002), El pintor de batallas (2006), El francotirador paciente (2013) y La guerra civil contada a los jóvenes (2015). A finales de 1996 aparece la colección Las aventuras del capitán Alatriste, que consta de siete títulos. Por sus libros ha recibido importantes premios y sus obras han sido traducidas a más de cuarenta idiomas. Ingresó en la Real Academia Española en 2003. Desde abril de 2016 es editor y cofundador de la web de libros y autores Zenda. Pérez Reverte llega a Miami con su libro más reciente: Sidi (Penguin Random House), donde se narra la aventura de un guerrero que, obligado al destierro, cabalga para buscarse la vida, en una historia de exilio y de lucha por sobrevivir en un territorio hostil. Arturo Pérez Reverte conversará con el narrador y periodista colombiano Juan Carlos Botero.

The Miami Book Fair’s Ibero-American Authors Program closes its 2019 edition with the great Spanish writer and journalist Arturo Pérez Reverte. Reverte’s long bibliography includes titles such as The Flanders Panel, The Club Dumas, The Fencing Master, The Seville Communion, The Nautical Chart, Queen of the South and What We Become. In 1996, he launched The Adventures of Captain Alatriste collection, consisting of seven titles. Reverte has received important awards and his works have been translated into more than forty languages. He joined the Royal Spanish Academy in 2003. Since 2016, he has served as editor and co-founder of the Zenda books and authors website. Reverte presents his most recent book: Sidi (Penguin Random House), a story of exile and border towns, of the struggles to survive in a hostile territory full of opposing forces. Reverte will be in conversation with Colombian narrator and journalist Juan Carlos Botero.

This session will be presented in Spanish with simultaneous translation to English via available headsets.
