EDWIDGE DANTICAT AND M.J. FIEVRE PRESENT MAMA LOVE

Edwidge Danticat’s My Mommy Medicine is a picture book about the comfort and love a mama offers when her child isn’t feeling well. Award-winning author Edwidge Danticat’s rich and lyrical text envelops the reader in the security of a mother’s love, while debut illustrator Shannon Wright’s vibrant art infuses the story with even more warmth.

With M.J. Fievre’s The Ocean Lives There, our little ones experience the adventures of a young girl who discovers her mama’s Haitian culture through a magical red-blue door. Young readers take a colorful journey into exploring the importance of one’s roots; they develop a deeper understanding of Haitian heritage and broaden their worldview. On May 1st, M.J. Fievre also presents Haiti A to Z, an alphabet book with a Haitian twist. As children journey through Haitian traditions, they learn English and Creole words through catchy rhymes and beautiful illustrations.
