CREATE! The Art of “Pocket” Book-making With Jose Luis Garcia

Explore the art of book-making with artist and educator Jose Luis Garcia as he leads a workshop in creating handmade pocket books, handy for remembering all the adventures you’ll have in Children’s Alley! Garcia will guide young artists through a series of bookmaking activities that range from simple to complex folds. The premise of the workshop is to create “Pocket Books” that fit in your pocket to keep handy for your Miami Book Fair adventures. Artists will learn about the art of bookmaking to create handmade Leporello, Accordion, and Simple Zine “books.”
