CREATE! Modeling the Reef With Beatriz Chachamovitz

Did you know that Florida’s Coral Reef stretches almost 350 miles and is the only coral reef system in the continental United States, and that it provides shelter, food, and breeding sites for millions of plants and animals? Learn about our local coral reefs through an interactive marine ecology lesson followed by a coral sculpting workshop! Using modeling clay and simple sculpting tools, you’ll learn how to craft sea anemones, brain coral, and more, inspired by the 40 species of reef-building corals found in Florida’s Coral Reef!

This event is a CREATE! featured workshop. All featured workshops require a FREE ticket to attend due to limited seating. Tickets may be picked up at the Info Booth in Children’s Alley; a standby line will be available for each workshop in the event a ticketed attendee does not show up.
