Faith Erin Hicks, Robert Venditti, Eddie Pittman and Jeffrey Brown come together to answer the question: How do you build your own vibrant comics universe and how do you stake out your own ground in the universes of others? Moderated by Conor McCreery.

The graphic novel for children, Lucy and Andy Neanderthal, by Jeffrey Brown, is the a laugh-out-loud adventure featuring Lucy and her goofball brother Andy, as the Paleo pair take on a wandering baby sibling, bossy teens, cave paintings, and a mammoth hunt. In Faith Erin Hicks‘s graphic adventure novel, The Nameless City, two unlikely friends hold the fate of the Nameless City in their hands. Eddie Pittman’s Red’s Planet is an intergalactic graphic novel for children that follows the adventures of Red, a headstrong ten year-old girl, who is mistakenly kidnapped by aliens and transported across the galaxy. Robert Venditti’s novel for children, Rise of the Robots, the second book in the Miles Taylor and the Golden Cape series, is about an eighth grader who finds himself unexpectedly thrust into the role of real-life superhero; his latest mission: to defeat an army of robots designed to destroy him!
