We sat down with the folks at Jolly Time Pop Corn – one of the most popular stops at Street Fair, yum! – to talk about the company’s presence at and support of Miami Book Fair.
What compelled Jolly Time to partner with Miami Book Fair – in other words, how does our work support your community-building and charitable goals?
We were thrilled to partner with Miami Book Fair! We believe in bringing people together for memorable moments, and what better way to do that than by supporting an event that celebrates stories, education, and community spirit? Whether it’s sharing a bowl of popcorn during a book reading or learning something new at a workshop, we’re excited to help foster these wonderful family experiences. For us, the Fair isn’t just a fun event; it’s a chance for us to contribute to our shared community by encouraging reading and lifelong learning in an entertaining and engaging way.
Tell me about some of the other organizations you partner with in Miami.
We were at Audacy’s Riptide Music Festival, which has a meaningful mental health initiative called “I’m Listening.” We also partnered with the city of West Palm Beach for its “Holiday in Paradise” celebration. It was a pleasure sharing our scrumptious snack with the Hollywood Police Activities League, Broward County Libraries, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue headquarters. These partnerships allow us to connect with the community and contribute positively to various important causes.
What was the Street Fair experience like for you and your team at last year’s Fair?
Street Fair is always a great time for us! The enthusiasm and good nature of all the attendees creates a fun and vibrant atmosphere. With such a diverse crowd, there are so many different types of people to meet. We love it because snacking and reading are always a perfect combination!
Have you ever attended the Fair in years past or taken advantage of any MBF programming during the year?
2023 was our second year participating in the festival. Whenever our schedule permits, we love to engage with everything the Fair has to offer and all of its wonderful programming!
