Miami Book Fair is partnering with bookstagrammer Paola Mendez to celebrate books and their impact in our community through an interactive reading challenge, Miami Reads. An influential figure in the local literary community whose hometown is right here in Coral Gables, Paola – an artistically and creatively inspired Leo, is known online as @coralgableslove.
Why do you love books?
Books help me understand the world and people living in it while also discovering new things about myself. My favorite book is Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

Seeing my favorite authors, live in conversation talking about some of my favorite books and also learning about new ones

I used to play roller derby.
