Born in Port-Margot, Haiti, Iléus Papillon is a widely published poet and nonfiction writer who holds a Master of Arts in Cultural Studies from the Haitian Institute of African Studies at the University of Haiti. He’s a member of Sosyete Koukouy and the founder / co-founder of several cultural organizations, including Tanbou-Literè, Regwoupman Ekriven Kreyòl, and Penser/Panser Haïti. He’s a radio host and well-sought-after lecturer who’s been invited to major literary events in Haiti, including Livres en Folie, Livre en Liberté, Verrettes à la Découverte du Livre, Festival National de Poésie in Jérémie, Salon National du Livre in Jacmel, and Festival du Livre et des Arts du Nord-Ouest (FLANO). He’s the author of Tribòbabò (Près Nasyonal Ayiti, 2012) and Sèt priyè lari a (Zwiltech, 2015).
