Gregg Shapiro is the author of the chapbook Fifty Degrees, selected by Ching-In Chen as co-winner of the Robin Becker Chapbook Prize. His other books include the short story collections How to Whistle: Stories and Lincoln Avenue: Chicago Stories, the chapbook GREGG SHAPIRO: 77, and the poetry collection Protection. He is also an entertainment journalist whose interviews and reviews have been published in various regional LGBTQ+ and mainstream publications and websites, including Outlines, Nightlines, En La Vida, Blacklines, Gay Chicago, Chicago Free Press, boiMagazine, and on ChicagoPride.com. In Fear of Muses: Poems (Lulu.com), Shapiro explores the evolving depth of love and becoming through a delicate and fine-tuned reckoning with familial and relational history.
