Cindy Seip

Dennis Scholl is a Miami-based art collector and president and CEO of ArtCenter/South Florida. An attorney, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Scholl also directs and produces films related to arts and culture such as Deep City: The Birth of the Miami Sound, which he co-produced and directed with Marlon Johnson and Chad Tingle; and Queen of Thursdays, which he produced and co-write with Cuban filmmaker Orlando Rojas. He has received seven regional Emmy Awards. Scholl and his wife, Debra, have been proactive art collectors for over 30 years. Henry Skerrit’s book The Inside World: : Contemporary Aboriginal Australian Memorial Poles focuses on an exhibit drawn from their collection. The exhibition was the third touring exhibition of their Aboriginal art collections, following the successful exhibitions Marking the Infinite: Contemporary Women Artist from Aboriginal Australia, and No Boundaries: Aboriginal Australian Contemporary Abstract Painting.
