Cecly Ann Mitchell is a Trinidadian novelist who has been writing short stories and novellas, since she was a student at secondary school. Her first novella Return to Me was written when she was 13 years old. A descendent of the Jean Pierres of Guadeloupe, she continues to be fascinated by the history of the French Caribbean and its impact on their English speaking neighbors. Mitchell’s work has been published in several Caribbean media, including Image magazine, Trinidad Express, Trinidad Guardian and the Independent newspapers. Her blog ‘Diary of the Uninhibited Diplomat’ is popular among readers of contemporary Caribbean literature. Mitchell was a NALIS First Time Author Awardee in 2011. Her book include the novels Le Noireau, La Marin, and Madras Raja & Co.
