Inspired by Yuyi Morales’s book Just a Minute: A Trickster Tale and Counting Book, we meet the hard-working Grandma Beetle, who tricks Señor Calavera into staying for her birthday party. When he shows up at her door, demanding she leave with him right away, she responds with “Just a minute.” She still has one house to sweep, two pots of tea to boil, and three pounds of corn to make into tortillas — and that’s just the start. This theatrical counting farce is accompanied by physical comedy, great music, and an abuela you’re bound to love!
