Pierre Michel Chéry is a Computer Scientist, who specializes in software development for accounting and management. With a B.S. in Business Management from INAGHEI and a M.S. in Information Technology, he also studied Linguistics at Faculté de Linguistique Appliquée (FLA). In addition to his professional activities, Pierre Michel Chéry has always campaigned for the Creole language and Haiti’s popular culture. He advocates for teaching scientific disciplines in Creole in order to overcome the flagrant deficit in scientific and technical skills in the country. A member of REKA (Rezo Kreyolis Ayisyen), he is also member of Akademi Kreyòl Ayisyen. In addition to articles analyzing popular culture and short stories he published in Haïti en Marche (“Mèt Bolo,” “Site Chèlbè,” “Ki Kote Solèy la fè?,” “Èske Diyite se yon bis?”), he also published novels in Haitian Creole: Eritye Vilokan (2001), Bèbè Gòlgota (2008), Senfoni Nago (2012), and Peleren (2015).
