Bito David was born in Haiti in 1964. After completing his primary and secondary studies at Institution St. Joseph and Petit Seminaire College St. Martial, he attended the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine and majored in Economics and Rural Development. He later moved to Florida where he continued his studies to obtain a Bachelor;’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Cultural Foundations of Education. In the United Stated he works for the School District of Palm Beach County as a Public Relations Specialist. His duties include establishing and maintaining communications, understanding, and cooperation between the school system and its stakeholders especially the Haitian and Haitian American community, including parents, students, businesses, community organizations and agencies, the media, and the Haitian population at large for increased parental and community involvement in education. He also strongly advocates for the integration of Haitian culture in the multicultural celebration in the United States. Besides his professional duties in the field of education, he is also a writer. He authors several magazine articles in local papers in the United States on topics related to Haïti. He has published several books on the socioeconomic and political situation of Haiti and other subjects related to love, philosophy and common facts of life. His main domains of interest are: the recognition of the contributions of Haiti and its people to the history of the world, the involvement of parents in their children’s education, the repatriation of Haitian human resources and the participation of all Haitians in the process of Haiti’s development, the reinforcement of the Creole language as the sociolinguistic identity of the Haitian people, and the promotion of a leadership with vision, competence and integrity to serve as a motivating force to champion development in Haiti.
