ANJANETTE DELGADO was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, and writes about violence against the feminine, sexile, and the dislocation of those who have been harmed. An Emmy Award-winning human interest journalist, she is the author of two novels and the editor of Home in Florida: Latinx Writers and the Literature of Uprootedness, which won the Gold Medal at the International Latino Book Awards. Her journalism and literary work have appeared in The New York Times, Boston Review, NPR, Prairie Schooner, Distropika, and Tupelo Quarterly. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Florida International University. Her newest book is El sexilio (LaCriba Editores, 2024).
