Miami Book Fair began as a small, two-day event in November 1984 as “Books by the Bay” and has evolved into an annual eight-day festival featuring 500+ authors, up to 200,000+ attendees, 150+ national and international book exhibitors, 600+ community volunteers, and an outstanding lineup of literary, educational, and cultural events. The largest, longest-running literary festival in the nation, it is a global draw that’s welcomed millions of children, teens, adults, and families, and poured tens of millions of dollars into the local economy. We also provide literary-focused programming year-round that promotes literacy, community-building, and cross-cultural connection.
