As a member of the Florida Literary Arts Coalition, we are happy to welcome visiting author Mary Biddinger. Mary will read from her new poetry collection, Partial Genius, to students at MDC’s North Campus. In her day job Mary teaches literature and creative writing at The University of Akron and edits the Akron Series in Poetry for the University of Akron Press. Established in 1990, African American Read In is a national initiative designed to celebrate black history and culture. This year Miami Dade College’s North Campus in partnership with Miami Book Fair will host Andrew Aydin, coauthor with the late Congressman John Lewis and illustrator Nate Powell of the graphic memoir RUN: Book One about Lewis’s life.
