We are thrilled to invite you to be a part of the 2009 Miami Book Fair International.
If you’re an old friend, you undoubtedly joined us for our silver anniversary last year and took pride in helping to make it all happen. If you are a new friend, we want to welcome you to our community of book lovers, our family of cultural frontrunners. And make no mistake, the Miami Book Fair is a cultural landmark. It has the distinction of being among the first organizations to present brilliant, thought-provoking programs in South Florida, and was hailed by The New York Times as the model for all of the book festivals that have since been founded in the U.S.
We are looking forward to (at least!) another 25 years of great books–another quarter century of prize winning authors, Ibero-American literary greats, activities that get kids excited about reading, and more. The best of times are ahead, of this we have no doubt. But today, more than ever before, we need your financial support to maintain the kind of programming that has always set us apart, the kind of programming you love.
