Author(s) and Guest(s)
Rosemary Harris
Rosemary Harris's fourth Dirty Business mystery, Slugfest (Minotaur, $24.99), takes gardening professional Paula Holliday from Springfield, Conn., to Manhattan for the Big Apple Flower Show. When Garland Bleimeister, a show attendee who left his bag with Paula at her booth, turns up dead in the Hudson River, it's clearly a case of foul play. "Harris' writing is sharp and funny. Slugfest is an absolute treat," says RT Book Reviews. Harris is the 2011 president of the NY Chapter of the Mystery Writers of America and past president of Sisters in Crime New England.
Heather Graham
In Heather Graham's latest paranormal thriller, The Evil Inside (Mira, $7.99), a member of the nation's foremost paranormal forensic team, Jenna Duffy, has made a career out of investigating the inexplicable. Yet nothing could prepare her for this string of slayings —or for the chief suspect, a boy barely old enough to drive, much less kill. Graham has written over 100 novels and novellas including romantic suspense, historical romance, vampire fiction, time travel, occult, and Christmas holiday fare.
Mary Stanton
Mary Stanton's mystery, Angel Condemned (Berkley, $7.99), continues in the spooky paranormal tradition of the first four of her Beaufort & Company series. Stanton has written nineteen mystery novels, two adult fantasy novels, eleven novels for middle-grade readers (including the successful series, The Unicorns of Balinor), and three scripts for a television cartoon series.
