Author(s) and Guest(s)

Jeff Jensen

In the graphic novel, Green River Killer: A True Detective Story (Dark Horse, $24.99), journalist Jeff Jensen and co-author Jonathan Case tell the tale of Detective Tom Jensen (Jeff Jensen's father) and his quest to apprehend the serial murderer who terrorized the Seattle area for more than 20 years. “Terrific. It’s got the scariest opening sequence I’ve read in years, and the novel as a whole makes compelling stay-up-late reading. Great, creepy stuff.” – Stephen King.  Jensen is a senior writer for Entertainment Weekly and EW.com.

Jonathan Case

In the graphic novel, Green River Killer: A True Detective Story (Dark Horse, $24.99) entertainment journalist Jeff Jensen and co-author Jonathan Case tell the tale of Jensen's father's quest to apprehend the serial murderer who terrorized the Seattle area for more than 20 years. Case is an author illustrator, who produced the graphic novel, Dear Creature, and whose work appeared in the Eisner and Harvey-award-winning anthology, Comic Book Tatoo.

Denis Kitchen

Underground cartoonist and longtime publisher Denis Kitchen collects a seminal '40s comic book series in Crime Does Not Pay: The True Story of Bob Wood, The Killer Cartoonist (Dark Horse, $19.99).  Revered and reviled--featuring thrilling, disturbing, and brutal tales and despicable characters--Crime Does Not Pay enthralled the country and, with acclaimed readership of over 5 million, was the most popular comic book of its day. Kitchen's second published book this year, Denis Kitchen's Chipboard Sketchbook (Boom! Studios, $19.95), collects the drawings he's made on the chipboard back of writing tablets starting in the late 80s. After accumulating nearly a quarter century of these private drawings in drawers, Kitchen was persuaded by associates to publish them. Presented with an introduction by the artist.
