Author(s) and Guest(s)

Sam Barry

Sam Barry is the author of the humor-inspiration book How to Play the Harmonica: And Other Life Lessons (Gibbs Smith). He works as a marketing and promotions manager at HarperOne and plays harmonica in The Rock Bottom Remainders with his brother Dave. He lives in San Francisco.

Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson began drawing the famous syndicated comic strip Ziggy in 1987, following in the footsteps of his father, also named Tom, who created the title character in the early 1970s. His memoir Zig Zagging: Loving Madly, Losing Badly – How Ziggy Saved My Life (HCI) relates his crisis of faith after his father fell ill and his wife died of cancer. “Wilson delights with fresh, well-considered insights, while the Ziggy cartoons reproduced here put both the character and his creator in a moving light.”—Publishers Weekly.
