Jesse Millner
Jesse Millner’s second full-length poetry collection is Dispatches from the Department of Supernatural Explanation (Kitsune Books, $12.00) is a poetic exploration of the luminous and the mundane, from the intricacies of fast food to the landscape of myth and dream. Carol Lynne Knight
Carol Lynne Knight’s debut poetry collection Quantum Entanglement (Apalachee Press, $17.00) combines scientific curiosity with meditations on language and life. Knight is the co-director of Anhinga Press, where she edits books and designs text and covers.
Lola Haskins
Lola Haskins’ tenth book of poems is The Grace to Leave (Anhinga, $17.00). “She is certainly one of the few original voices among American poets.”—Midwest Quarterly. Haskins’s prose writings include and advice book for people interested in poetry, Not Feathers Yet. Haskins taught Computer Science at the University of Florida for many years, and is currently on the faculty of Rainier Writers Workshop MFA program.
Tennessee Reed
Tennessee Reed got an early start in poetry. Her first collection was published when she was 11 years old. A collection that includes new poems as well as work from Reed's first four books, New and Selected Poems: 1982-2011 cements Reed’s status as Oakland’s Guardian Angel. Reed is Secretary of Oakland PEN, and the author of the collections Circus in the Sky, Electric Chocolate, and Airborne.
