Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop, born James Osterberg in 1947, is among the most influential rock stars of the past 40 years. His work as front man for the Stooges in the 1960s and early 1970s included self-mutilation and made him a hero to later punk rockers. After the Stooges disbanded in 1974, he collaborated with David Bowie on such songs as "Nightclubbing" and "Lust for Life.” In 1982 he published his autobiography, I Need More. He resurfaced in 1986 with his first hit single, "Real Wild Child." He’s also worked in movies as an actor. The Stooges reunited in 2003. Mr. Pop lives in Miami.
