Stanley Crouch
Stanley Crouch is a columnist for the New York Daily News . His culture pieces have appeared in Harper's , The New York Times , Vogue , Downbeat , The New Yorker and more. He has served as artistic consultant for jazz programming at Lincoln Center since 1987, and is a founder of Jazz at Lincoln Center. He is the author of a major collection of jazz criticism, Considering Genius: Jazz Writings . Next year, the first volume of his long-awaited biography of Charlie Parker will appear. Stanley Crouch's appearance is cancelled.
Mike Barnicle
Mike Barnicle is an award-winning print and broadcast journalist, as well as a social and political commentator, who is a frequent contributor and occasional guest host on MSNBC's popular shows "Morning Joe" and "Hardball with Chris Matthews." Barnicle can also been seen regularly on NBC's "Today Show."
Errol Louis
Errol Louis is co-editor of Deadline Artists: America’s Greatest Newspaper Columns and the Political Anchor of NY1 News. Prior to joining NY1, Louis was a Daily News columnist, writing on a range of political and social affairs and serving on the paper’s editorial board. He also hosted a weekday talk show on AM1600 WWRL and was named the city’s Best Columnist & Radio Show Host by the Village Voice in 2010. Prior to joining the Daily News, Louis was Associate Editor of the New York Sun. He is also a CNN Contributor.
Pete Hamill
Pete Hamill is an American journalist, novelist, essayist, editor and educator. Hamill has been a New Yorker and a journalist all his life — a reporter for the New York Post , a legendary reporter for the New York Herald Tribune and the editor of the New York Post . He is the author of several works of fiction and nonfiction, including his novel, Snow in August , and his memoir, A Drinking Life . His latest novel is Tabloid City (Little, Brown and Co., $26.99), in which a veteran reporter decides to quit when his newspaper converts to a Web-only publication.
John Avlon
John Avlon is senior columnist for Newsweek and the Daily Beast as well as a CNN contributor. He is the author of Independent Nation: How Centrists Can Change American Politics and Wingnuts: How the Lunatic Fringe is Hijacking America, as well as co-editor of the anthology Deadline Artists: America's Greatest Newspaper Columns . Previously, he was a columnist and associate editor for the New York Sun, and chief speechwriter for New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
