J. Gabriel Gates

In the cold, hard world of the future portrayed in J. Gabriel Gates, Blood Zero Sky (HCI, $14.95), corporations and greed rule the world.  When the daughter of a prominent CEO is kidnapped by a secret order, she is suddenly faced with the frightening truth of what the Company's rapaciousness has done to our most basic human rights. Will she join the battle to restore America's democratic freedom, or put her blinders back on and return to her safe and passionless life? Gates is the acclaimed coauthor of Dark Territory, Book 1 in The Tracks series, and the author of the horror novel TheSleepwalkers.

Conor McCreery

Kill Shakespeare, Vol. 2:  the Blast of War (IDW, $19.99) is the second in the comic fantasy series produced by Conor McCreery, Anthony Del Col, and Andy Belanger.  The story is set in a world where Shakespeare’s characters dwell and Shakespeare himself is an absent god struggling with a heavy conscience as he prepares for conflict. But even victory comes at a cost as friends and foes die in a great final battle.  Kill Shakespeare was nominated for a Harvey Award for best new comic series, and a Shuster Award for outstanding comic writing. McCreery is a former print and television journalist who has written over 1,000 stories for Business News Network.  He is co-founder of Kill Shakespeare Entertainment.
