Wayne Wiegand

Wayne A. Wiegand recently retired as F. William Summers Professor of Library and Information Studies and Professor of American Studies at Florida State University.  He is author of more than sixty scholarly articles, seven of which have won national awards and five books, three of which have won "best book of the year" awards from the American Library Association.  He is also the editor or co-editor of seven other books, including the soon-to-be published, Right Here I See My Own Books (MassachusettsPress, $28.95), co-authored with Sarah Wadsworth, which examines the significance of the historic first effort to assemble a comprehensive library of women’s texts at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
